Navigate to the item page, click the X symbol next to the ID field to clear the current code, then click the QR scanner symbol to scan your new QR code.

Will I lose any data when replacing a QR code?

No, replacing a QR code only changes the identifier. All item information, history, attachments, and bookings remain intact.

Where is the X symbol to clear a QR code located?

The X symbol is on the item page in the second row, to the right of the ID field that shows the current QR or barcode.

Do I need to confirm before clearing a QR code?

Yes, after clicking the X symbol, the system prompts you to confirm that you want to clear the barcode before proceeding.

What happens to the old QR code after replacement?

The old QR code is disconnected from the item and becomes available to be assigned to a different item if needed.

Can I scan the new QR code immediately after clearing the old one?

Yes, once you confirm clearing the barcode, you can immediately click the QR scanner symbol and scan the new code.

Where should I have the new QR label during this process?

Have the new physical QR label ready in front of you before you start the replacement process so you can scan it immediately.

Can I replace QR codes on items with active bookings?

Yes, replacing the QR code does not affect existing bookings or reservations associated with the item.
